IFAC Teacher Conference (ITC)
Each July, the Illinois First Amendment Center (IFAC) sponsors a cost-free professional development conference for Illinois educators — with workshops geared for those who teach (or advise) grades 6 — 12 (all K — 12 educators are welcome).
This event includes: 16 one-hour workshops (attendees choose four), keynote speaker, 4 CPDUs, exhibitors, buffet lunch and attendance prizes — all cost-free for Illinois educators! Workshops focus on First Amendment issues, civic education, journalism, news literacy, and a variety of other topics.
Pre-registration is required, as space is limited to 225 participants.
Need First Amendment / Constitution Day classroom curriculum, coloring books, videos and posters? The IFAC distributes excellent K — 12 classroom materials free each year at this event.
