Annual Illinois High School First Amendment Poster Contest

Each year, the Illinois First Amendment Center (IFAC) sponsors a First Amendment Poster Contest. All Illinois high school students are eligible to enter.

Judging takes place each January at the Illinois Press Association in Springfield. Cash prizes total approximately $3,700 each year.

Cash prizes are awarded in the following amounts:

1st Place - $1000
2nd Place - $750
3rd Place - $500
4th Place - $250
Honorable Mention - $100 each
Other possible awards include: Creative Recognition Awards for original art posters (hand-drawn or painted only) - $100 each; Creative Message Awards (based solely on creativity of the message) - $100 each.
