2011 - 2012 First Amendment Poster Contest

The Illinois First Amendment Center (IFAC) and the Illinois Press Foundation (IPF) announce their sixth annual First Amendment Poster Contest for Illinois high school students, grades 8 — 12. Posters may be computer-generated or hand-drawn/painted. Judging will be based 50% on quality of artwork and 50% on the best portrayal of Freedom to Petition as guaranteed by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. (Note: Creative Message Awards are based 75% on message, 25% on artwork.)

• 1st Place - $1000
• 2nd Place - $500
• 3rd Place - $400
• 4th Place - $200
• Honorable Mentions - $100 each
• Creative Message Awards - $100 each.
