"Five Freedoms" Posters

Each poster features our First Amendment mascot “Uno” and illustrates one of the Five Freedoms contained in the First Amendment. For classroom display, teachers may cut along the dotted lines around the numbers (removing all of the black background) so each freedom is more prominently featured.

Posters may be ordered, free of charge, from the Illinois First Amendment Center. A $4.00 per set (five posters total) shipping and handling charge will apply. Posters will be mailed in shipping tubes and will arrive usually within 5 business days after order is received.

About the Posters

(1) Freedom of Religion

This poster features Uno praying, with the message: “As Americans, we may pray as we choose.”

(2) Freedom of Speech

This poster features Uno speaking out, with the message: “As Americans, we may express our beliefs.”

(3) Freedom of the Press

This poster features Uno reading the newspaper, with the message: “In America, the press has the right to report all the news.”

(4) Freedom of Assembly

This poster features Uno speaking to a group, with the message: “As Americans, we may form groups.”

(5) Freedom of Petition

This poster features Uno carrying a sign, with the message: “As Americans, we have the right to ask our government for changes.”
